Exploring historical events in hadith sources is one of the challenges of hadith studies. The best and most reliable source for understanding the events of Islamic history is the hadith of the infallibles (peace be upon them). One of the important events of early Islam was the arrival of Shahrbanu, the daughter of the Sassanid king, to Muslim lands and her marriage to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). Historians have made various statements about this event. However, among the great hadith scholars; Saffar, Kulayni, Saduq, and Mufid narrated the arrival of that lady of Hamam during the reign of the second, third, and fourth caliphs. The following article, because it does not recognize Sheikh Mufid’s statement as a hadith, goes beyond the scope of the discussion and subjects the narrations of Saffar, Kulayni, and Saduq to criticism and examination. The present article uses a descriptive-analytical method and data collection in a library manner to validate the narrations of Saffar, Kulayni, and Saduq, and considers Saduq’s narration to be unreliable due to its weak and unreliable narrators, and sees Saffar and Kulayni’s narrations facing several serious challenges from the standpoint of tradition. If Nahwandi and Amr ibn Shammar have been weakened in the books of the ancients, the present article, citing the rules of the tradition such as: the indication of the abundance of the narration of Ijlaa for its reliability, the rejection of the accusation of exaggeration by the ancients, the absence of Ibn Walid's exceptions, etc., based on the accumulation of suspicion, establishes the reliability of Nahwandi and Amr ibn Shammar and proves the reliability of the narration of Saffar and Kulayni, stating that the marriage took place during the time of the second caliph.
